L: Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, R: Taylor Swift

Ryan Reynolds has a hefty call to action for Taylor Swift when it comes to his youngest child.

The actor made the bold request during a stop by Today on Monday, May 13, where Savannah Guthrie asked the Deadpool star to confirm or deny if his fourth baby, whom he shares with Blake Lively, earned a namedrop on The Tortured Poets Department.

It was a bid to get the father of four to reveal the name of their youngest for the first time, but Reynolds was quick on his feet, diverting attention by telling the morning show anchors, "Well, we always wait for Taylor to tell us what the child's name will be, so..." he trailed off, going on to joke that the family is "still waiting."

"So, Taylor, let's maybe start, you know," he continued. "She's a prolific writer. I mean, what are we doing here? And lazy's not a word I'd attach to Taylor."

If you're new here, Swift featured the names of the couple's other three children, daughters Betty, 4, Ines, 7, and James, 9, in the song "Betty" on her 8th studio album Folklore. When her 10th studio album Midnights dropped shortly after the couple announced their fourth pregnancy, fans wondered if Daisy Mae, a name featured in "You're on Your Own Kid," might have been an easter egg for the babe-to-be's name, seeing as their older siblings each got a starring feature.

We can't help but wonder, too, if one of the many names included on the touring artist's 11th studio album might belong to the baby, who is believed to have been born in early 2023, but even a year on, the couple are clearly happy to keep that information under wraps—and we totally understand.
