Ryan Reynolds might have a future role for Bernie Sanders in Deadpool 3.

The 44-year-old actor shared a meme of the Vermont senator from Wednesday's presidential inauguration in which Sanders, 79, went viral for sitting alone with his arms crossed and in mittens.

In the photo, Sanders' image is superimposed next to Reynolds' Deadpool from the 2016 film.

A slew of A-list stars have included Sanders' meme in their own social media images, including Sarah Jessica Parker who photoshopped the senator into a Sex and the City still.

On Friday, Sanders joked of the meme-related attention he has gotten, "It makes people aware that we make good mittens in Vermont," according to NBC News' Garrett Haake.

"We have some good coats, as well," Sanders added. (His coat was from Burton, which is headquartered in Burlington, Vt.)

Earlier this month, Kevin Feige, president of Marvel Studios, gave an update on Deadpool 3, telling Collider the movie "will be rated R" and part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

"We are working on a script right now, and Ryan's overseeing a script right now," Feige said. "It will not be [filming] this year. Ryan is a very busy, very successful actor. We've got a number of things we've already announced that we now have to make, but it's exciting for it to have begun."

He continued, "Again, a very different type of character in the MCU, and Ryan is a force of nature, which is just awesome to see him bring that character to life."
