Ryan Lochte Voted off 'DWTS'

On Monday’s Dancing with the Stars, Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte’s journey ended without a medal — or a Mirrorball trophy. The gold medalist had somewhat of a rocky tenure on the show. During one episode, protesters bounded onto the dance floor where he was standing, and host Tom Bergeron was forced to cut to commercial.

The incident jarred Lochte, but he swam on, despite being on the bottom end of the leaderboard for most of the season. Apparently his swimming athleticism didn’t quite translate to the ballroom.

Luckily, though, Lochte’s ultimate goal was redemption rather than victory. He said of his time on DWTS, “I learned a lot about myself — that no matter how hard I get knocked down, I can keep fighting.”

Dancing With the Stars airs Mondays at 8 p.m./7 p.m. CT on ABC. Watch clips and full episodes of Dancing with the Stars for free on Yahoo View.
