Ryan Kavanaugh on Tyson-Holyfield talks: ‘There will be no fight without Triller’
The Triller majority owner spoke with Yahoo Sports boxing insider Kevin Iole about the continuing negotiations to have the boxing legends face off once again.

RYAN KAVANAUGH: Tyson got paid everything he was supposed to be paid and then some. We did an outright buy on the last fight. But we also didn't just buy the fight, we bought the club. So we were launching the club, which was all Tyson fights for the next three years.
And we paid a lot for that. We didn't pay for the fight. We paid for the club. And we paid for what was supposed to be the Holyfield-Tyson fight.
KEVIN IOLE: When you say "the club," you mean in the league of legends.
RYAN KAVANAUGH: The League of Legends, the, you know-- and Tyson. I'll say at the end of the day, we overpaid for that fight that nobody else would have bought--
KEVIN IOLE: Right.
RYAN KAVANAUGH: Because specifically we then wanted to his future ones.
KEVIN IOLE: Holyfield.
RYAN KAVANAUGH: What's happening now is he has people around him, I'll say, that I don't think are necessarily giving him a straight answer. But every distributor knows now that there can be no-- they cannot air this fight anywhere without violating our contract.
It's very clear. There's not even a nuance. There's not even an argument as to not-- accept for them just stating something. You know, you can say anything you want, but a contract's a contract.
KEVIN IOLE: OK.
RYAN KAVANAUGH: So I wouldn't be surprised if you see that they eventually come to an agreement with us. You know, we're working closely with the Holyfield camp right now because they have their own issues with Tyson. And I would stay tuned for more on that, for sure.
KEVIN IOLE: OK.
RYAN KAVANAUGH: But I can tell you there will be no fight without Triller.
