While promoting their upcoming film, The Fall Guy, Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt dished about how much their kids love the other — so much so that Gosling’s daughters have a special, very cute nickname for Blunt.

During an interview with TODAY that aired on Tuesday, Blunt revealed that her daughters Hazel, 9, and Violet, 7, whom she shares with her husband John Krasinski, have never taken much interest in her movies. However, since Blunt’s latest gig sees her co-starring with Gosling — a.k.a. Ken — her girls are more excited than usual.

“They love him so deeply,” Blunt shared. “Actually, my oldest one — it’s the first movie she has expressed any interest in, and it has nothing to do with me. It’s all about Ryan,” she said as Gosling playfully uttered, “Oh my God.” Referring to Hazel and Violet’s love for Barbie, Gosling quipped, “I think it’s Ken, really.” Blunt agreed, sympathetically drawling, “It’s Ken.” The actress funnily continued, “They were very interested in, like, fascinated in what his hair looks like in real life. That was a question I got a lot.”

Gosling has two daughters of his own, Esmeralda and Amada (also 9- and 7 years old, respectively), whom he shares with his wife Eva Mendes — and they seem to adore Blunt just as much as her girls love him. “My kids call her Mary Poppins,” Gosling shared. “They’re [like,] ‘You’re working with Mary Poppins today?’ Yes I am.” Blunt heartily laughed at the reference to her magical role as the iconic nanny in 2018’s Mary Poppins Returns before the duo revealed she also earned another nickname on The Fall Guy set: Stunty Blunty.

Though Gosling’s character in the movie is that of a stuntman trying to win back his up-and-coming director ex (played by Blunt), the co-stars mused that Blunt actually did more of her own stunts for the film than Gosling. Thus, Stunty Blunty was born.

Blunt previously spoke about how much her daughters adore Gosling during a January 2024 episode of Sunday Sitdown with Willie Geist. “They know a lot of people I’ve worked with. But Ryan is — Ryan’s it for them,” she said of their love for him after seeing Barbie. Blunt added, “They’re so happy. They have never had any interest in anyone I’ve worked with ever.” Like the co-stars’ four preteen daughters, we can’t wait to watch Ken and Mary Poppins make some more magic on the big screen in The Fall Guy, out in theaters on May 3.
