Ryan Gosling and Mikey Day reprised their roles as Beavis and Butt-Head for one night only. The duo attended the premiere of Gosling’s new film, “The Fall Guy,” on Tuesday in Los Angeles.

The “Barbie” actor initially walked the red carpet in a mint green Gucci suit and a gold Tag Heuer timepiece before changing into a towering blond wig, prosthetic nose and Beavis’ trademark “Death Rocks” shirt.

Gosling portrayed the ’90s cartoon character on “Saturday Night Live” alongside Day’s Butt-Head last month. Their viral skit has since amassed 13 million views on YouTube. Day, who has been a writer on the sketch comedy series since 2013, wore Butt-Head’s classic uniform of a gray “Skull” shirt and red shorts.

In the original sketch, “SNL” cast member Heidi Gardner played a news anchor interviewing a professor played by Kenan Thompson on the dangers of artificial intelligence. Thompson’s character becomes distracted by two audience members, Dean (Gosling) and Jeff (Day), who strikingly resemble Beavis and Butt-Head, respectively.

In April, Thompson told Variety that Gosling and Day’s skit made him “crack so hard at dress rehearsal.”

“I haven’t had a break like that in a while where I was in tears and I couldn’t talk,” Thompson said. “It was that funny to me and what I was about to say next was funny to me. And I was frozen. I was literally quivering and then I started to panic. Because I was like, ‘I can’t talk without cry-talking. I don’t want to waste the line. It could throw off everything.’ It was like, three seconds of just chaos.”

“Beavis and Butt-Head,” created by Mike Judge for MTV, originally aired on the television network between 1993 and 1997 before two subsequent revivals in 2011 and 2022.

“The Fall Guy,” out Friday in the U.S., follows a stuntman, played by Gosling, on the search for a missing movie star.
