In mid-April, the world witnessed a revelation. Mike Day and Ryan Gosling brought Beavis and Butt-Head to life in a hilarious Saturday Night Live skit that broke the audience, the cast, and the internet. We knew we’d probably see Gosling and Day back as Beavis and Butt-Head sooner or later, but we sure did not expect them at The Fall Guy premiere. And yet, they graced us with their presence nonetheless. Are Ryan Gosling and Mikey Day angling for a live-action turn as Beavis and Butt-Head in a movie? We’re sure someone somewhere is pitching it right now. In the meanwhile, you can take a look at the mayhem below as Gosling and Day crash Emily Blunt’s interview dressed as the duo.

We love Gosling and Day’s commitment to the roles. They aren’t actually Beavis and Butt-Head, they remind us, but just two guys who happen to look like them. They got invited to The Fall Guy premiere after meeting at an AI conference. What a coincidence.

Honestly, more stars should show up on red carpets as random characters. It would keep things interesting and create a whole new kind of red-carpet fashion. Gosling and Day brought back their SNL looks for the occasion. Gosling donned Beavis’ signature “Death Rock” T-shirt, and Day proudly wore the word “Skull.” Both of them also stuck with shorts.
It’s hard to say what prompted this return to the Saturday Night Live skit at The Fall Guy premiere. The movie is meta, though it doesn’t seem to have anything to do with ’90 cartoons. But whatever it was, we salute it. More Gosling and Day as not-Beavis and Butt-Head, please. Hopefully the pair will take on the Met Gala red carpet next. It feels like the most fitting place to bring live-action Beavis and Butt-Head.
