Ryan Gosling is continuing a stellar 2024 with the launch of a new production banner.

Gosling will run General Admission with longtime film executive Jessie Henderson, with the duo signing a three-year, first-look film deal with Amazon MGM Studios. Under the pact, Amazon will have a first look at General Admission narrative features, some of which Gosling will star in, that are intended for both theatrical and streaming.

“I feel incredibly fortunate to have partners like Jessie Henderson and Courtenay Valenti in this endeavor,” said Gosling in a statement. “The gift of partnering with Jessie Henderson in General Admission is one that cannot be understated. I’m a huge fan of Jessie’s and the films she’s produced and developed. Her unique experience, intuition, work ethic, relationships, as well as the impressive road she’s paved for herself in both comedy and drama have led to a unique ability to make the rare films that combine both.”

Added Henderson: “Ryan brings a unique and brilliant perspective to everything he does, and I’m so impressed by his vision as a producer. We’re both true movie lovers who want to create stories that stick in audiences’ heads and hearts, and feel very lucky to be working with Courtenay Valenti and the entire team at the studio whose exceptional taste and leadership inspires us.”

Henderson joins the Gosling outfit from Apple Original Films, where her upcoming slate includes Blitz from writer and director Steve McQueen and Joseph Kosinski’s highly anticipated F1 film starring Brad Pitt. Prior to Apple, she headed feature efforts for HBO Max and previously spent nearly a decade at Paul Feig’s Feigco Entertainment, where she worked on films like Spy and A Simple Favor.

The move reunites Gosling with Valenti, the former Warner Bros. who now run film at Amazon. Gosling and Valenti worked together on blockbuster Barbie.

Said Valenti, “As the name of their company conveys, these passionate and extraordinary filmmakers want to tell stories for audiences all over the world. Ryan Gosling is a truly singular artist who possesses boundless talent and creativity.”

Gosling is in the midst of a hot streak, with an Oscar nomination for Barbie (and a viral Oscars performance of the song “I’m Just Ken”). He has the upcoming stunt-centric movie Fall Guy due out May 3. The feature from David Leitch co-stars Emily Blunt, and received a warm welcome when it debuted earlier this month at the South by Southwest Film and TV Festival. The actor was previously nominated for Oscars for work in La La Land and Half Nelson, and in recent years has starred in Blade Runner 2049First Man and The Gray Man. Coming up, he remains attached to Project Hail Mary, the adaptation of the Andy Weir novel that has Phil Lord and Chris Miller directing.
