As Alec Baldwin’s legal challenges continue with Friday’s indictment stemming from the 2021 Rust shooting, he has made moves to shore up his finances, which includes the star starting to appear at fan conventions and having relisted his longtime Hamptons home for $10 million under the asking price from roughly a year ago.

In a video posted this week by real estate brokerage firm Saunders & Associates, Baldwin talks to the camera about his fond memories with the 10,000-square-foot, seven-bedroom home located in Amagansett on Long Island’s South Shore. The 30 Rock alum’s abode is now on the market for $19 million after he previously listed it for $29 million. The original listing was in September 2022, less than a year after a firearm handled by Baldwin on the New Mexico set of indie Western Rust was discharged on Oct. 21, 2021, killing cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and injuring director Joel Souza.

“I’m always happiest when I come here, especially this time of year,” Baldwin reflects in the video about his Hamptons home. “I love it in the wintertime because it’s so peaceful, and it’s so beautiful.”

In recent months, Baldwin has set his first appearances at fan conventions. Last month, he signed autographs at the Steel City Con in Monroeville, Pennsylvania, and he is set to appear next month at the third annual ATL Comic Convention in Atlanta.

Convention appearances have become more common (and more lucrative) these days than in years past, even for A-listers. Among the notable names to have signed autographs and posed for fan photos at recent events was Chris Evans, who appeared at the New York Comic Con at the Javits Center last year.

Baldwin was indicted Friday when a grand jury in New Mexico recommended charging the Rust actor and producer after a new prosecution team presented the case. Baldwin is likely to be charged after prosecutors initially dropped the criminal case to review new evidence suggesting that the gun he was holding had been modified. Baldwin faces a sentence of 18 months in prison if convicted of involuntary manslaughter.

The star won two Emmy Awards for his role as Jack Donaghy on 30 Rock, and he picked up another Emmy for portraying President Donald Trump on Saturday Night Live. Baldwin’s prominent film credits from years past include Beetlejuice, Working Girl, Glengarry Glen Ross, The Hunt for Red October, The Aviator and The Departed. He earned an Oscar nomination for 2003’s The Cooler.

While he hasn’t recently lined up work in major studio films, Baldwin has seemingly stayed busy with low-budget movie roles. Baldwin appeared in such 2023 indie releases as 97 Minutes and Supercell, and there remain a number of unreleased titles with which he is involved. This includes the revived production of Rust, for which Baldwin returned to set last year before shooting wrapped in May 2023.

As 97 Minutes screenwriter Pavan Grover told The Hollywood Reporter in 2022 of continuing to work with Baldwin, “You don’t abandon your good friends at the drop of any trouble.”
