Since 2008, Russell Westbrook has—along with being a five-time all-star—become known for having some of the best off-court style in the NBA. The Oklahoma City Thunder guard has been known to wear everything from skin-tight Slayer shirts to floor length fur coats. (Not to mention the glasses.)
His style is bold. It's controversial. We gotta respect that. Given his visibility as a fashion icon, it's not surprising that respected brands want to work with him.
The latest in his ongoing collaboration with Barneys New York is a custom black leather baseball cap from Chicago-based designer Don C's high-end hat line Just Don. It comes in two styles. One features a black python bill and a white "W" embroidered on the front. The other has a blue python bill and "Just Don" and "Westbrook" in blue embroidery.
"I have always liked Just Don's hats and was really excited to work with him on this collection for Barneys New York," Westbrook told Esquire.com in an email. "I think the hats show both of our styles and are the perfect touch to complete a look."
The hats are far from cheap at $695, but if you've got the dough and a soft spot for streetwear, NBA style, or both, you can get one for yourself at Barneys.
