- Drives again back to Davis. Davis for 3. Bang! Anthony Davis from downtown! And the Lakers take a 9-point lead!

JARED QUAY: LeBron James is one win away from hosting a virtual championship parade. 2020's weird, you can't celebrate like you normally do.

The Lakers took a commanding 3-1 lead in the NBA Finals with a 102-96 victory over the Heat in Game 4. Miami played great team ball with four starters scoring at least 15 points. But it wasn't enough to overcome some contributions from a few surprising Lakers. Rajon Rondo had seven points and five assists off the bench. And Kentavious Caldwell-Pope channeled his inner MJ long enough for the Lakers to get the win.

- Caldwell-Pope with back-to-back huge buckets.

JARED QUAY: But enough about the bubble, because over in the wubble, we have a new queen. The Seattle Storm brought home the WNBA Championship last night. They lit up the Las Vegas Aces 92 to 59, finishing a three-game sweep. But Storm's guards, Sue Bird-- not only has she won her fourth title, but she's also won a ship in three different decades. Yo, that Rapinoe-Bird household is just a straight up GOAT show. No word if she's coming back for an 18th season, but she's still dropping dimes like this--

- Bird no look to a running Howard for 2!

JARED QUAY: --no reason to stop flying now. That girl good. The National League kicked off division series play yesterday. And in the battle for California, La made the opening statement beating the upstart Padres in Game 1. In the other series, the Braves fried the fish thanks to a late home run from Travis d'Arnaud.

- It's gone! Travis d'Arnaud delivers!

JARED QUAY: But the real action came earlier when Ronald Acuna got plunked.

- Ooh.

- Not like that.

JARED QUAY: It was all good though, because he also played peacemaker. Yo, my man do it all, you see that powerful hand? Like he was Magneto or somebody. Meanwhile, in the American league, the small market Rays played like high rollers last night. Tampa took Game 2 against the Yankees, evening the series at 1 game apiece. And whichever team is left standing, it looks like they're going to seeing a familiar face next round.

That's because the Astros are showing the world that cheaters don't just prosper, they dominate. After beating the A's 5-2 in Game 2, Houston is now one game away from the ALCS. Now look, you might be tempted to start liking these guys. I mean, José Altuva ate a cookie in the dugout. That's cute, right? Little man eating a cookie. But don't let that fool you. The Astros are the bad guys, and no one knows that more than their fans.

- [SIGHS] More of y'all delicious Astro-hating tears to cry on. I love being me.
