Where do babies come from? It’s a question as old as time, with infinite awkward answers.
But next time someone puts you on the spot, you could always play it safe with a data-driven response: “babies are made from big wins, kiddo.” And you could point to the spike in birth rates in Boston, circa 2005, or Germany, circa 2007 to support this claim. After all, these unusual increases came 9 months after the Red Sox World Series victory and Germany’s string of 2006 World Cup wins on their home turf, respectively.
So, in light of Wednesday’s stunning World Cup win over England, what does this mean for the Croatian population come April 2019? It means babies. Lots of babies. Especially if the country of 4 million people can edge out France to win it all on Sunday.
