Video Transcript

EDDIE MURPHY: They always talking about the fights and who did [INAUDIBLE]. That's the kind of barbershop talk.

ARSENIO HALL: Now Eddie, he talks about loving boxing. He's incredibly knowledgeable. They should let Eddie call a fight one day, like they let Snoop call that last fight we saw.

SNOOP DOGG: Hm. Oh, my God. Lord have mercy.

- Robinson

SNOOP DOGG: Oh Jesus. Oh Lord.

ARSENIO HALL: Eddie would be amazing at that.

EDDIE MURPHY: I think I'm a big enough boxing fan and a historian on the sport that I could absolutely call a fight.

JARED QUAY CAMPBELL: Well let's get it set up. Man, they got a bunch of these celebrity bouts going on, man. We got to get you one.

ARSENIO HALL: No, no, a real fight though. I'm telling you, a real fight, Eddie would do it justice.

EDDIE MURPHY: Hey, wait a second, who said I want to do that? [INAUDIBLE] calling no fight.

JARED QUAY CAMPBELL: "Coming to America" is one of my favorite movies of all time, so you know your boy jumped at the chance to talk shop with the cast of the long-awaited sequel. You can catch "Coming 2 America" on Amazon Prime Video on March 5.

In the meantime, check this out. If you have to pick one of your favorite characters you play in the movie, who would be your favorite?

EDDIE MURPHY: My favorite character that makes me laugh the most is Randy Watson. But my favorite character to play is Akeem because he's so easy to do. Those other characters wear makeups and the six hour makeups. And Akeem, I just put on, in this movie, pajamas and shit that have a robe and really easy.

JARED QUAY CAMPBELL: Oh, I love it. Arsenio, who's yours?

ARSENIO HALL: I love playing Semmi because there's no prosthetics but I wish he had a last name.

JARED QUAY CAMPBELL: Yeah, right.

[INTERPOSING VOICES]

EDDIE MURPHY: --never gave Semmi. You know, half the names in the movie are made-up names. The Jaffe Joffer is not a real name. I made that up. And the Queen Aoleon is not a real name. As a Black person, you know how we do know how to make up some names. Beyoncé, you have to be Black to come up with that.

JARED QUAY CAMPBELL: Eddie, there's a famous story that goes around, man, that you and Prince played basketball one night, man. Is there any truth to that?

EDDIE MURPHY: That is an absolute true story, yeah.

JARED QUAY CAMPBELL: Did he beat you?

EDDIE MURPHY: He beat us, yes. He beat us. And he had on that outfit from KISS, where he had the little top little thing and he had a waistlet, a little chain around his waist. And they beat the shit out of us. Anyway, no joke. I'm not a ballplayer. Prince had hops.

PRINCE: Game. Blouses.

JARED QUAY CAMPBELL: You're the uncle of a ticket scalper that becomes the prince of Zamunda. And we know that you're a notorious Knicks fan and they haven't really been relevant since the last movie came out. How you feel about that?

TRACY MORGAN: You know what time it is. We got the number one defense in the league, baby. Thib, my man Thib. Come on, everybody is buying into his plan. We just got Derrick Rose. We probably going to get LaVine, and then it's over.

JARED QUAY CAMPBELL: They going to the championship?

TRACY MORGAN: Huh?

JARED QUAY CAMPBELL: They going to the--

TRACY MORGAN: No, no, we don't need a ring this year. We competing this year. I just want to compete.

JARED QUAY CAMPBELL: How much do you miss hackling players from courtside, man? I know you haven't been able to do that. Is that something you can't wait to get back to?

TRACY MORGAN: Well, you know my style, man, I'm not going to hackle nobody. I'm going to push you. Come on, use your feet! Use your feet! That's my style. I'm coaching. I'm their second coach. I'm a coach.

I used to coach 12 and under. I'm hard on them. If you don't play no defense, you going to sit on the bench right next to me because you're useless!

JARED QUAY CAMPBELL: Jermaine, for you, there's a scene where you were running really fast away from a lion, and I seen you got wheels. Obviously, this is Yahoo Sports. What sports are you good at?

JERMAINE FOWLER: Oh, man. So when I was in high school, I tried out for football. But I didn't like the football players. I just didn't vibe with them. My dad taught me how to fight when I was four, so I just was really into martial arts and boxing when I was a kid. And that's what I'm into right now. Skateboarding is mostly like boxing and Jiu Jitsu.

JARED QUAY CAMPBELL: But I mean, did you get a chance to watch the Jake Paul and Nate Robinson fight?

JERMAINE FOWLER: That was one of the saddest things I've ever seen in my life. I have never seen anyone get knocked out that-- not since DJ Pooh in "Friday." I've never seen it, ever. You're never OK after a knockout like that so publicly. So shout-out to Nate Robinson, man. God bless you.

JARED QUAY CAMPBELL: All the cast, what team you think current NBA players? Maybe you guys are [INAUDIBLE].

NOMZAMO MBATHA: I'll take the Lakers. I'll take the Lakers because they won the championship.

JARED QUAY CAMPBELL: You guys, watch "Coming 2 America." It's amazing. Thank you guys.

JERMAINE FOWLER: Thank you so much, Jared. Peace.

NOMZAMO MBATHA: Thanks Jared.
