RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars season 2 crowned its champion Thursday night, and season 5 runner-up Alaska is finally a winner, baby.
In not-so-coincidental timing, Alaska's brand new album Poundcake -- named after her character Lil' Poundcake, a beauty pageant competitor from hell -- drops today. In addition to premiering the tea-spilling, Minaj-esque "The T" video featuring Adore Delano last night, Billboard is also giving fans a behind-the-scenes look at the music video for "Puppet," which features Lil' Poundcake pulling a Wall Street heist with her cohorts and spitting some hilariously foul lyrics.
"Drag is political," Alaska tells us of the video. "And I wanted to address current anxieties with this."
One thing Alaska needn't be anxious about, though, is her dancing in this video. While she's not exactly one of the most celebrated dancers on the show's history, Alaska says her friend and choreographer Nick Laughlin helps her make it happen for the camera. "He makes choreography that works well with my body... and that's really, really, easy for me to learn," she says, laughing.
