Running Water Draw Arts & Craft Festival set for Oct. 20-22

The Plainview Rotary Club’s 49th Annual Running Water Draw Arts & Crafts Festival will be held at the Ollie Liner Center, 2000 S. Columbia St., on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 20-22.

The show will feature more than 100 vendors throughout the area including décor, food, clothes, kitchen items, spices, jewelry, beauty products, storage items, wood working items and more.

This year’s show will also feature special guests including Peanuts cartoon voice actors Melanie Kohn (Lucy Van Pelt) and Duncan Watson (Charlie Brown).

Other special guests include Steve Garcia, an animator for feature films including “Iron Giant” and “Cats Don’t Dance”, Amy O’Neill, American performer who was in “Honey, I Shrunk the Kids”, “Honey, I Blew Up the Kid” and the 1986 season of “The Young and the Restless” and Burton Gilliam, actor best known for his role in “Blazing Saddles”.

The special guests will be available during festival hours at one of the booths for photos, autographs and memorabilia.

Festival hours are Friday and Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday noon to 5 p.m. Admission Entry fee is $5 per person ,10 years and younger are free. Proceeds go to support Rotary projects including scholarships for local high school students, dictionaries for all Plainview third graders, funds to continue the effort to eradicate polio and much more.
