Run the World 's Corbin Reid Marries Fiancé on New Year's Eve — In a Caribbean Castle!

Corbin Reid is married!

The Run the World star, 34, said "I do" to Snap Inc. public policy manager Jasson Crockett on New Year's Eve in Jamaica. The newlyweds shared exclusive photos of their special day with PEOPLE.

"We got 95 people to come to Jamaica — it was absolute mutiny, but it turned out beautifully," Reid exclusively told PEOPLE after officially kicking off their honeymoon at Rockhouse in Negril.

The couple wrote their own vows for the ceremony, which took place at Negril's Pattoo Castle. Reading her vows off of a piece of paper, the actress shared that Crockett was a bit more prepared.

"Of course he had his beautifully memorized," she laughed of her "public speaker" fiancé showing her up as she had to frantically search for a printer. "I'm also a writer, so mine were not short," she said in her defense.

"I've never been a fan or believer in fairy tales," Reid recounted of her vow opener, which she wrote at 5am during a quiet morning three weeks prior, writing them in a little over an hour. "I kept putting it off. I was really relieved because it just came out of me — it poured out of me and I didn't have to think about it."

"They were a hit! People were crying," she added. "People were moved by both of the vows. His were beautiful."

Just after the wedding, actress and Run the World co-star Amber Stevens West, who Reid says was "a mess" during her vows, shared footage on social media from the lavish destination affair. Reid's costar Bresha Webb and show creator Leigh Davenport were also in attendance.

"I was so moved by the vows these two made to each other. @corbinmreid & @moneyball85 thank you for including us in this momentous occasion," Stevens West wrote on Instagram with a reel cut together from the wedding festivities. "It was a night we'll never forget!"

Reid, in a traditional Vivienne Atelier bridal gown, is seen holding hands with her new husband as they walk out of the 8-bedroom stone castle on Jamaica's west coast. They then proceed to party the night away with wedding guests in an outdoor reception decked out with stringed lights.

"They let us go until around 2am! But we wrapped it around 1:30," Reid shared of the after-party, adding that she and Crockett "passed out" in the castle's bridal suite. "We were supposed to go back to our hotel at Idle Awhile!" Reid said, laughing, explaining her "Man of Honor," her best friend Mike, sweetly switched rooms to accommodate the couple's impromptu stay.

The Starz actress, who got her first start on Broadway, changed into a white feathered frock by Cult Gaia (her newly-pronounced husband in a custom tux by Alba Legacy) for the dance-heavy after-party, performing wedding traditions such as throwing her bouquet to her bridesmaids. Later in the video, Crockett can be seen on one knee removing his bride's garter, while local Ocho Rios native Jamaica Wedding DJ kept the energy flowing.

Reid also shared a video of her busting a move on the dancefloor to Béyoncé's "Cuff It" in her Instagram Stories alongside footage of a more romantic slow dance with her new husband to John Legend's "So High."

"I have met John, he's lovely," Reid noted of seeing the performer live a couple of times and getting to go backstage at one of his shows in Vegas. "And he sang that song, so it was really special."

On the day of the couple's wedding, the groom, 36, posted a screen-shot of their first text exchange with a "shoutout" to Bumble, the dating app they met on nearly seven years ago. "How it started vs. how it's going. 12/31/22," Crockett wrote, along with the couple's cheeky hashtag, #jasonlearnedtoreid. In his Stories on Monday, Crockett also noted they were on their honeymoon (still in Jamaica) and back at their "favorite dinner place."

In the planning stages, the pair had shared organized details of their wedding weekend, along with their romantic backstory, on their website:

"Corbin and Jasson had the modern millennial meet-cute… by connecting on Bumble," the site noted. "After reading Jasson boast about his mac and cheese on his profile, and the fact that he super-liked her, Corbin decided to give him a shot."

"Before their first date, Corbin came down with the stomach flu but decided to keep the date so Jasson didn't think she was an LA flake," they added of their humorous first-date description. "Despite being under the weather, Corbin braved the all-you-can-eat Brazilian BBQ lunch at the Grove Farmers Market."

"The date continued on to LACMA where the two walked and talked for hours until Corbin finally had to come clean and admit to (a completely oblivious) Jasson that she was sick the entire date. That's when Jasson realized, she really is an actress."

After six years of dating, Crockett proposed during a trip back to Reid's hometown of Minneapolis, Minn., where she "walked out on her porch to hear a caroller singing John Legend's "So High" on the front porch ... Jasson got down on one knee and proposed in the 2-degree snow."

Clued in on Crockett's plan, family and friends were waiting to celebrate the thoughtful and romantic proposal.

"Corbin and Jasson are excited to tie the knot on New Year's Eve 2022 at Pattoo Castle in Negril, Jamaica, the birth country of Corbin's maternal and paternal grandparents," the site added of the personal story behind their destination choice. "My grandpa proposed to my mom's mom on the spot in one day after meeting her at a beauty salon," Reid shared to PEOPLE of her family's romantic backstory.

"I was very close with my grandparents," Reid added, "so it was so nice to have it here. My fiancé was amazing — my husband now! And helped me orchestrate the whole thing," she said of the destination wedding planned by Waverly Coleman Events. The stunning affair — with flowers and décor by Tai Flora Luxe Events — was captured by Dwayne Watkins of Team DWP Studios.

As far as the couple's registry, they originally shared on their invite: "We have everything we need in material things! If you want to give please feel free to visit our Honeyfund registry which will go towards our honeymoon!"

On the agenda? "Couples massages! And we're also heading to Couples Swept Away, which is an all-inclusive resort, so, you know, drink all the cocktails and lay in the pool! Oh, and Dunnes River Falls," she added, which she went to as a little girl with her grandma.

"It's cool to come back and really experience things close to where my grandparents grew up.
