If you’re one of the folks out there rooting for Andy Cohen’s downfall, you’re probably going to want to read this closely. Headlines have been swirling about Andy trying to exit his role at Bravo amid all of the legal controversies. It turns out those rumors were faker than a Real Housewife’s lips, and there was no truth to those stories.

Putting the rumors to rest

In the article by In Touch, a source claimed to have direct knowledge of Andy’s exit strategy. They said that negotiations were underway and he was trying to finalize the details of a departure package. However, a source told TMZ that this couldn’t be further from the truth.

According to a rep for Bravo, there was nothing accurate in the report. They made it sound like it was pure fiction. After all, if Andy suddenly left the network, that would leave a huge hole in their programming lineup. Not only does he host Watch What Happens Live five nights a week, but he’s also the only person who hosts reunion specials across the network. Bravo would have to scramble to find replacements for Andy’s roles both in front of the camera and behind the scenes. That ain’t happening.

The only element of truth in the original In Touch article is the fact that Andy and Bravo are under a lot of legal scrutiny right now. Most notably, Leah McSweeney filed a lawsuit claiming that Bravo fostered a toxic culture and that she was discriminated against while filming Real Housewives Ultimate Grils Trip. She accused Andy of doing cocaine with the Housewives and rewarding their bad behavior with favorable edits on their shows.

Andy and Bravo have denied any wrongdoings. They are fighting the various lawsuits in court, and it will take some time for all of it to play out. Those legal troubles aren’t going away overnight, and clearly, neither is Andy. The king of midnight fun is here to stay.
