Rumer Willis shared some stunning bikini photos on Instagram, almost exactly a year after giving birth to her daughter, Louetta, with partner Derek Richard Thomas. In the carousel’s caption, Willis explained she was posting the photos to pay tribute to her own body after having her first child “so I can show my daughter what unconditional self-love and acceptance looks like.”

“Leaning into my mama curves in the jungle,” Willis joked. “It’s been a journey of continuous curiosity and growth to see how much room and acceptance I can give my body as it continues to shift and transform after birthing a little human.”

Willis is wearing a brown bikini top with a matching patterned sarong in the six photos. She also shows off her back tattoo in one saucy shot, and dons a men’s button-down for another.

Fans poured into the comments to show support for the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood actress. “Be kind to yourself,” wrote @samhatesgames. “You grew a whole human, which is already amazing, and on top of that you look gorgeous still. Perhaps even more so…the glow of motherhood is ethereal.”

“Girl, you are so beautiful,” said @minnesotanicelist. “You don't even look like you had a baby! I know what you mean about the body changes, though.”

“So beautiful,” Thomas wrote to the mother of his child, while actress Bijou Phillips threw out a succession of fire emojis.

Willis’ father, Bruce Willis, has stayed largely out of the public spotlight since the family announced his diagnosis with frontotemporal dementia in March 2022. However, Rumer has previously spoken about her father being an active part of Louetta’s life. Last November, she even shared the discerning trait her daughter inherited from Bruce.

“Whenever she's got a stern discerning look on her face, I just see Bruce Willis,” she joked to People.

Last month, Bruce’s wife, Emma Heming Willis, honored her husband’s 69th birthday with a photo of the Pulp Fiction star holding Louetta. “He’s a true gentle-man. With so much love to give and share,” Heming Willis wrote. “That’s what I get to see, his true core. I can tell you, it’s so pure and ever so good.”
