The Royal Showdown Of The Century At Sandringham: What Is On The Agenda?

Prince Andrew is probably the only member of the royal family to be feeling pretty good this week. His sex scandal has been pushed out of the headlines by the recent announcement from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle that they would be stepping down as 'senior royals.'

Looking back, of course, hindsight is always 20/20, the signs were there for a long time. The royal couple's war on the media, their interviews in Africa, and their recent 6-week break while skipping out on the holidays at Sandringham.

However, nobody could have predicted The Duke and Duchess Of Sussex would drop such a bomb, especially on Instagram in such a hasty way.

Now, a summit is currently happening at Sandringham with Prince Harry, Prince William, Prince Charles, The Queen, Meghan Markle (over video chat), and a string of aides.

The Queen is rumored to want decisions over the future of The Duke and Duchess Of Sussex to be hammered out swiftly and within days.

However, there a huge number of issues that need to be discussed, and these are not small. If Prince Harry and Meghan Markle thought stepping down from their positions would be as easy as an Instagram caption then they were very wrong, and a little naive.

The Public Are Not Happy With The Way They Made The Announcement

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's sudden announcement has sent shock waves throughout the U.K. and much of the world, with opinion divided on whether or not it was a good thing to do.

While much of the public is supportive of their decision, it was the way in which they announced it that most people were deeply unhappy about. Many feel the couple don't even know what they're really letting themselves in for.

A source told Vanity Fair that Prince Harry is "behaving like a teenager."

Will They Lose Their HRH Titles?

Now, a royal rumble is going down at Sandringham, and who wouldn't love to be an audience member at that? What issues will be discussed? Most likely things that are more serious than where their two dogs will live and how Meghan will afford her extensive wardrobe.

Will they lose their HRH titles? Many believe this will not happen after what happened to Princess Diana, and the royals have clearly learned their lesson after one of the most difficult times they've ever faced.

What About Being "Financially Independent?"

What about money? This is the biggest issue facing the Sussexes and one the royals need to get right, as much of the British public consider this the most important point.

While Meghan and Harry have claimed they plan to work to become "financially independent," they really will only no longer take money from the Sovereign Grant, taxpayers money.

95% of their income comes from the Duchy of Cornwall, Prince Charles' private estate. However, the public has also been very critical of this, being that the only reason Prince Charles has this estate is due to his position.

What will come out of the royal showdown? Hopefully no bloody noses, or ripped stockings.
