Rotting Maggot-Filled Deer Carcass Becomes Shoes On 'Naked and Afraid'

On Naked and Afraid, outdoor adventurists, Scott and McKenzie were traipsing around Texas in their birthday suits when they came across a dead deer. McKenzie had made them some shoes from plants but it wasn't quite doing the trick on the rocky Texan terrain. So, they decided to upgrade to some deer sandals using a maggot infested deer carcass that they came across during their 21 day naked challenge. Using a knife, Scott cut the hide away, avoiding as best he could the flies, the maggots and the rancid smell. McKenzie stood back with her leaf mask avoiding said smell. After they racked and dried the pelt, McKenzie worked with the hide and made them some stylish new sandals. McKenzie was quite crafty throughout the entire episode. She and her fiancé live on the big island of Hawaii. The surfer and diver said, "I definitely feel like a lot of outdoor skills, and I can get very creative with those skills. I surf, and I was attacked by a 12-foot tiger shark. After that experience, I quit my job. It just made me want to stop doing things I don't like doing."
