Many tweetworthy moments have come out of Michael Cohen‘s testimony before Congress Wednesday, and of course Hollywood eagerly tuned in to watch it live.

Cohen, President Trump‘s former personal lawyer and fixer, provided documents to the House Oversight Committee that he claims prove Trump committed “illicit” acts.

“I am ashamed of my weakness and misplaced loyalty, of the things I did for Mr. Trump in an effort to protect and promote him. I am ashamed that I chose to take part in concealing Mr. Trump’s illicit acts rather than listening to my own conscience,” Cohen stated under oath. “I am ashamed because I know what Mr. Trump is.” He added that Trump is “a racist. He is a con man. He is a cheat.”

Rosie O’Donnell woke up like a kid on Christmas for Cohen’s testimony, tweeting, “Trump is going down – OH HAPPY DAY !!!”

She also dubbed the president “evil” and called for his impeachment.

Bette Midler took issue with the line of questioning from Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, who called Cohen a “patsy” for the Democrats. She also slammed Republicans on the committee “determined to discredit Michael Cohen.”

Other stars, including Chelsea Handler, Alyssa Milano and Debra Messing, also chimed in on Twitter.

After Cohen’s testimony was released Tuesday night ahead of the hearing, President Trump accused him of “lying.”
