‘Roseanne’ Revival Gets Premiere Date On ABC

It’s as if she never left. RoseanneABC’s revival of the popular 1990s sitcom starring Roseanne Barr, will premiere on March 27 and air in the Tuesday 8 PM slot where the original series ran for its final two and a half seasons.

Roseanne will kick off its 9-episode new installment with an hourlong episode on Tuesday March 27 from 8-9 PM before settling into into its Tuesday 8 PM slot on April 3 when current Tuesday 8 PM occupant The Middle will relocate to 8:30 PM. (Fresh Off the Boat, which currently airs at 8:30 PM will finish its season on March 20.)

 

Production on the Roseanne revival is slated to wrap today in Studio City, California. You can watch a teaser below.

Featuring the complete original cast, new series regulars and notable returning guest stars, per ABC, the revival will explore life, death and everything in between and will tackle today’s issues through the relatable, hilarious and brutally honest lens of the Conner household.

The series stars Roseanne Barr as Roseanne Conner, John Goodman as Dan Conner, Laurie Metcalf as Jackie Harris, Lecy Goranson as Becky Conner-Healy, Sara Gilbert as Darlene Conner, Michael Fishman as D.J. Conner, Emma Kenney as Harris Conner-Healy, Ames McNamara as Mark Conner-Healy and Jayden Rey as Mary Conner. Sarah Chalke, who played the character Becky in later seasons, will also appear in another role.

Guest stars from Roseanne reprising their roles in the revival include Estelle Parsons as Beverly Harris, Sandra Bernhard as Nancy Bartlett, Johnny Galecki as David Healy, Natalie West as Crystal Anderson, James Pickens, Jr. as Chuck Mitchell and Adilah Barnes as Anne Marie Mitchell.

Roseanne is produced by Carsey-Werner Television. Executive producers include Roseanne Barr, Sara Gilbert, Tom Werner, Bruce Helford, Whitney Cummings and Tony Hernandez.
