Rose McGowan is calling out the #MeToo movement.

“It’s all bulls***,” the actress told The Sunday Times. “It’s a lie. It’s a Band-Aid lie to make them feel better.” She continued, “How do I explain the fact that I got a GQ Man of the Year award and no women’s magazines and no women’s organizations have supported me?”

The activist added, “I know these people, I know they’re lily-livered, and as long as it looks good on the surface, to them, that’s enough. They’re not champions. I just think they’re losers.”

These comments come a year after McGowan leveled rape accusations against Harvey Weinstein. McGowan was one of about 80 women who accused Weinstein of assault, harassment and inappropriate conduct (the producer has denied all allegations of nonconsensual sex). These accusations served as the catalyst to reignite the #MeToo hashtag on social media that was originally used by Tarana Burke in 2006.

McGowan also said that it’s “literally impossible” Meryl Streep didn’t know about Weinstein’s behavior. McGowan originally called out the 69-year-old actress in December after Streep claimed she only learned of Weinstein’s sexual proclivities when the accusations were made public.
