After New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker dropped out of the presidential race Monday, girlfriend Rosario Dawson offered him some very public support.

She told him that he inspired her every day and complimented him and his team on a race well run. The Jane the Virgin actress signed off, “I see you. I love you.”

Dawson confirmed her relationship with the Democrat in March, and she’s been vocal about her support for him and his campaign ever since.

“In the midst of it all, he is my boyfriend, someone who I love very much. He is traveling all over the place,” the politically active star told InStyle in November. “I’m thinking, ‘Is he eating right? Is he sleeping right? Is he taking care of himself or is he just on all the time?’ There are so many things. I don’t know where this journey will take us but we are putting in the time and effort for our journey separate from that. It’s just beautiful to be with each other.”

Dawson’s fans were as disappointed as she was that Booker’s campaign has ended, because it means they won’t see Dawson as First Lady. In fact, the candidate himself cutely retweeted a story about that very subject with an added quip: “Have you been talking to my mom.”

We already know Dawson has her approval.
