Feel like you’re constantly fighting a losing battle with dust bunnies, pet hair, and dirt? Unless you have a truly ace vacuum at your side, you’ll be spending hours a week just cleaning your floors and carpets. No one has time for that — and even if you did, who wants to spend it lugging around a heavy machine from room to room?
Smart vacuums do the work for you. Turn them on, and watch them go — they’ll suck up all the dirt and dust and whatever else is lingering in your floorboards in a snap, and you don’t have to lift a finger. Not all e-vacs are created equal, and the gold standard by far are iRobot Roombas. Not only are they the most popular models, but they’re super effective on just about any type of floor or carpet.
They’re also wildly expensive — some models are priced north of $1,200. However, Amazon just marked down some of the brand’s top-sellers to Black Friday-like prices.
Check out these iRobot Roomba deals below.
This is the robot vacuum to end all robot vacuums. It has the strongest suction of any iRobot (10 times stronger than the 600 series) and it empties itself at its charging station! It vacuums then mops, so just program it to clean on a schedule and get on with your life. Crazy smart, it learns your house with a mapping system, so if you spill something in the kitchen and need to run out, just use your phone or Alexa device to tell it where to clean.
“We have two Bernese and two cats. The hair and dirt is not to be believed. This is our third Roomba and far and away the best,” writes a five-star reviewer. “This thing is a MONSTER. First of all, it’s much quieter than the other two. It cleans much more quickly and thoroughly, without banging repeatedly into the skirting boards the way the 770 used to. The roller and brush design is smart and means less hair wrapped in a Gordian knot around the rollers. And the automatic emptying feature works like a charm.”
Shop it: iRobot Roomba i7+, $799 (was $1,000), amazon.com
Want high performance but don’t want to drop $800 on the i7+ model? This longtime best-selling Roomba has five times stronger suction than the 600 series and is Alexa-, app-, and WiFi-enabled.
“As a busy professional who travels a lot with two teens and two cats (one long haired) I needed a helping hand. It was costly, but first results are impressive,” writes a five-star reviewer. “We have a combination of carpet, wood and ceramic tile in our home and Roomba had no problem negotiating any of these or changing between them. I was amazed at how much hair and dust it picked up, despite having vacuumed the same week.”
Shop it: iRobot Roomba 960, $424 (was $650), amazon.com
Live in a smaller home? This Roomba is perfect for you. It runs for 90 minutes before needing a quick recharge, and uses sensors to help guide its sense of direction. It’s intelligent enough to know which areas need more power than others, and its brushes are angled precisely to help get dirt out of corners.
“Love, love, love this Roomba!” a five-star reviewer raved. “We have three cats and it picks up all the hair. We have wood and tile floors with some scattered rugs. It does a great job cleaning all surfaces.”
Shop it: iRobot Roomba 675 Robot Vacuum, $200 (was $280), amazon.com
Always wanted a Roomba but can’t bear the price? This budget-friendly model is over $50 off. Like the 675, it uses a three-stage cleaning system to whisk away dirt and grime, plus dirt detect sensors help the Roomba determine which parts of your home need extra attention.
One enthusiastic reviewer dubbed the Roomba 614 “a powerhouse in a mini package!” and adds “We can’t do regular vacuuming with big vacs and these little guys do a WAY BETTER job. Yes, you read that right, the little guy does a better job!”
