Ron Leibman, Who Played Jennifer Aniston's Dad In 'Friends, Has Died

Ron Leibman, known for his role as Dr. Leonard Green in "Friends," has passed away at the age of 82. The stage actor, who was in dozens of films and television shows, died on Dec. 6 in New York. His agent, Robert Attermann, confirmed the actor's death but did not elaborate with any details. However, a source close to Ron Leibman told several outlets the cause of death was pneumonia, according to The Washington Post. He is survived by his wife, actress Jessica Walter.

Dr. Green On 'Friends'

Leibman played Jennifer Aniston's character Rachel Green's dad in the hit sitcom. His character was known for being overbearing and tough on Rachel, as well as her sister, Jill Green, played by Reese Witherspoon. Ron Leibman made several appearances in the show starting in 1996 to the end in 2004. He played a large variety of roles as both a comedic and dramatic actor.
