Charles Lewis has joined Rome Health as the new administrator of the hospital’s 5-star nursing home on the third floor. The 80-bed Residential Health Care Facility (RHCF) provides short-term rehabilitation, long-term care and respite care.

“I’m humbled and honored to be selected to join the team at Rome Health,” Lewis said. "I am ready to continue on the path that has resulted in this facility being the only 5-star facility in our area year after year. Tony Joseph and his team have proven themselves to be the standard that others measure themselves against. It’s my intention to support and help the residents and our colleagues every day.”

Lewis has been a licensed nursing home administrator for nearly 20 years, most recently serving as the administrator of Sunset Nursing Home in Boonville. Previously, he owned and operated the Lewis House in Westmoreland for over 20 years. He has a master’s degree in health services administration.

“We are confident that our new administrator will build upon our tradition of excellence in providing the best care out there, here," said President/Chief Executive Officer Dr. AnneMarie W Czyz. "Colleagues from the RHCF were part of the selection committee and appreciated Charlie’s resident-centered approach to enable our residents to live their best lives while they are in our care."
