Roman Reigns was initially eligible for the 2024 WWE Draft, but he has withdrawn from the pool.

Roman Reigns last appeared on WWE programming on the second night of WrestleMania 40. There, Cody Rhodes beat him to win the Undisputed WWE Championship. In doing so, Rhodes ended Reigns’ lengthy 1,316-day reign. WWE later announced that Reigns was eligible for the 2024 WWE Draft, as he was listed in the pool(s) of superstars.

However, in the opening moments of WWE Draft Night One on the April 26 episode of WWE SmackDown, Paul Heyman announced that Roman Reigns had voluntarily withdrawn himself from the draft. Heyman stated that Reigns would not be returning in the immediate future.

Heyman highlighted Reigns’ remarkable run and noted that it was up to Nick Aldis to choose someone else as SmackDown’s first overall pick.

As of this writing, there is no word on when Roman Reigns will return to WWE programming. WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
