This Is How They Roll! Florida Georgia Line Returns to Las Vegas for Limited Residency
Florida Georgia Line is, once again, digging their roots in Las Vegas!
The superstar country duo comprised of Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley are returning to the Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino for a limited residency Nov. 6, 8, 9 and 12 following the massive success of their shows last December.
PEOPLE caught up with one-half of the band, Hubbard, 32, who revealed FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE LIVE FROM LAS VEGAS will incorporate their definitive hits with tunes from their latest and fourth studio album,

Congrats on the renewal of your Las Vegas residency! How does it feel to be back?
We’re super excited. Vegas was good to us. It was a really cool experience and getting to meet so many fans from all over the country. It’s a unique experience. It’s something we’ve always wanted to do and give it a shot, and when we did it, it kind of worked out even better than we had expected, so we’re excited to go back and do a short stint. The key is not overdoing it in Vegas. Four, five, six shows is a really good number for us. We’ve had a lot of fun with it and we hope the next one goes good — and we believe it will!
Now that you have your first Vegas run under your belt, what did you learn and how are you incorporating that into this next run?
The number one thing I learned is just to pace ourselves. We went and did the Vegas thing in the offseason, so you’re a little bit out of shape and have to spend a little bit of time getting back in shape, vocally, and getting physically prepared to play shows. When you do it three or four nights a week it becomes easy, but as you take a month off your voice is just a muscle that you don’t end up using a lot when you’re not on tour. That was the biggest thing.
It took me a show or two to kind of get into my groove last go-around, so I think we’ll probably rehearse a little bit more and run the set a couple times prior to the show to make sure our voices are strong and make sure we’re drinking our water and hydrating because it’s super dry in Vegas. We just want to make sure we’re doing everything in our power to make sure we’re giving our fans the best performance we can. We’re going to go big, as we always do, bring the energy, bring the production and it’s going to be a great time.
What’s going to remain the same and what will be different?
I know we’re going to be switching the set up quite a bit and playing quite a few of the new songs off the new album, flip-flopping songs around. We just want to give the fans what they want — playing hits, but also adding elements of new stuff and some new production, as well. We want to make sure the show is a unique experience in and of itself, but also still incorporate a lot of the hits that everybody comes to hear.
What do you love most about this particular show run and why is it so special to you?
Being in the Zappos Theater, there’s so many historical events that have happened there — so many amazing shows — so there’s so much history there. Being able to get on that stage and put your name in the history book alongside so many legends that have performed on that stage is just amazing, and it makes it truly unique. It’s really unique for us to play a show and just get on stage and go back to our hotel and be set up and ready for the next show.
Usually we’re getting on a bus and traveling for seven or eight hours, re-setting up, re-sound checking, so it’s nice to be set somewhere and have everything in place. It’s good for the crew; everyone can still go to work, but not have to work as long of hours. It’s a unique experience for the fans, unique experience for us and we really enjoy it.

But first, you’ll be in Vegas for the ACMs! You received four nominations this year … how does that feel?
It’s amazing. We’re always honored and humbled to be nominated for these awards. The ACMs are one of the best and biggest of the year. You know, it never gets old. Going to Vegas, seeing all of our friends and knowing that we’re going to have a performance — that’s kind of where our focus is. We try not to focus too much on the actual awards, but really stuff that we can control like the performances and our overall week in Vegas. We’re going to go there and get warmed up for the residency by going to the ACM Awards!
What can you tell us about your performance with Jason Aldean?
We’re doing our song “Can’t Hide Red” and I think that song explains that we’re just going to go out there and be ourselves and be a bunch of rednecks without having to worry too much about it. We’re just going to really bring the energy and the heat — bring the pyro, bring all the tricks to the table, and just have a performance everyone is talking about.
Who are you most looking forward to seeing at the show?
All of our friends will be there. Country music is such a community, such a family — Thomas Rhett, Russell Dickerson, Luke Combs, Morgan Wallen. Over the years, you just become such good friends with these guys — Jason [Aldean] and Luke [Bryan] and people you go on tour with — but it’s just fun to get back together. We call it a country music reunion every time these award shows come around. We’re all so busy all year that it’s always rare we get to hang out with so many friends at one time, so it’s a special time and a lot of good memories are made.

Life is so exciting, yet so crazy for you right now, as you’re also getting ready to welcome another little one. Congrats! Anything you and Hayley are doing different this time around in prepping for the baby?
This time around is amazing. It’s not as stressful as the first time because you know you can handle it, so we feel confident, we feel really excited. We have a good team around us now that helps out, which is key in any aspect of life. We’re feeling really good. Hayley, in my opinion, just kind of started showing and we’re due in August, which is right around the corner, so it’s definitely becoming real.
How is Hayley feeling?
She feels good! The first trimester was a little tough, but she’s doing good now.

Milestones for Olivia?
I feel like every day is something. She started walking around on her own and she just picks up on so much, so fast. Every day or two is a new word or a new phrase or something, so she’s just really getting her personality, which is a lot of fun to watch. It’s pretty amazing — brings a lot of joy to our lives.
