Rod Stewart and Cheap Trick announce new tour for summer 2020

Tenured touring Rock and Roll Hall of Fame acts Rod Stewart and Cheap Trick team up this summer for a 21-date North American tour.

The show kicks off in July in Cleveland and will be rocking on until September in Chicago, where the final show will be. Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. via livenation.com.

A staple of popular British rock 'n' roll, Stewart penned hits the likes of "Forever Young," "Hot Legs," "Tonight's The Night," "Maggie May" and more. The Illinois-born Cheap Trick, a 2016 Rock Hall inductee, produced classic rock staples "I Want You To Want Me" and "Surrender."

Stewart announces the tour days after being ordered to appear in Florida court on misdemeanor battery charges for an alleged incident on New Year's Eve at a Palm Beach resort.
