‘The Rocky Horror Picture Show’ to return to New Orleans’ Mahalia Jackson Theater

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” is returning to New Orleans this October.

The live interactive musical is set to be shown at the Mahalia Jackson Theater on Oct. 24 as part of the 49th Anniversary Spectacular Tour.

According to a news release, fans can expect a costume contest, a performance from a local shadow cast, memorabilia display and a chance to meet Patricia Quinn, who played Magenta in the original film.

The memorabilia display will include artifacts and costumes from the movie.

The release states “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” made its Hollywood debut nearly 50 years ago and “has become one of the longest weekly showing movies in the world.”
