RocKwiz Announces 2024 Australian Tour
SBS music trivia program turned touring roadshow RocKwiz has announced one of their biggest live tours to date. Dubbed Never Mind The Buzzers, Here’s RocKwiz Live!, the tour will take in 35 dates between October and December 2024 – starting in the regional NSW centre of Orange and ending almost two months later to the day in Adelade. A full run of dates can be found below.
The show will feature host Julia Zemiro and MC Brian Nankervis, along with the RocKwiz Orkestra and special musical guests at each show. Contestants will also be selected from the audience to participate. In a press statement, Nankervis – who co-created RocKwiz in 2005 – said that he was “so excited to be doing this big run of RocKwiz shows” at the end of 2024.
“There’s something very special about being on the road, playing beautiful theatres with a travelling company of artists [and] inviting audience members to be part of the action,” he said. “On a RocKwiz tour, performing night after night, the shows develop and consolidate – but also twist and turn. We’re constantly refining, evaluating the shows in hotel rooms and airport lounges. Late night sing-alongs might be rehearsed the next afternoon and performed that night. There’s nothing quite like a RocKwiz show.”

RocKwiz was last on the road in the middle of last year, celebrating the 50th anniversary of Mushroom Records with a series of specially-curated tribute shows. The show also made its annual trip to Byron Bay over the Easter long weekend last month for what has been described as a “permanent position” at the Delta Stage of Bluesfest.
