Rockford's Food Truck Tuesday is back. Here's what to expect

Thinking of heading out to Food Truck Tuesday at the Nicholas Conservatory & Gardens?

Here's what you can expect at this year's event:

Who are the vendors this year?

As many as 15 local food vendors will be set up for business in the parking lot of the conservatory at 1354 N. Second St. and along the bike path from the Symbol parking lot to the Swan Anderson parking lot. The food trucks include:

  • Bop Bop Korean BBQ & Rice Bowl serves galbi, marinated short ribs; bulgogi, marinated thin slice rib eye; and Korean corn dogs.

  • Cantina Taco serves traditional chicken, pork and black bean tacos.

  • Chef T & Just Ryan serves barbecue and chicken sandwiches, tacos and cauliflower wings.

  • Disco Chicken, operated by Abreo Restaurant, serves fried chicken sandwiches, tenders and tater tots.

  • Hicks BBQ serves pork, chicken, brisket sandwiches and nachos with fries, chips and coleslaw.

  • J & C Old Fashion Ice Cream serves bowls of vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, cookies and cream plus root beer floats.

  • Jammin Jerk Grill serves burgers and jerk sandwiches including chicken, Philly cheesesteak.

  • Ka Bao!, owned and operated by Octane, serves steamed bread rolls filled with chicken and veggies, with side order of fries.

  • La Calle Churro Truck serves Spanish or Mexican pastries made from deep-fried unsweetened dough and sprinkled with sugar.

  • The Nenas serves authentic tacos, burritos, quesadillas and nachos.

  • The Olive Branch serves authentic Greek food including gyros, souvlaki, falafel, Greek salad and rice bowls.

  • Olivo Tacos serves steak, chicken, fish and veggie tacos.

  • Rustic Oven Woodfired Pizza serves classic pizzas such as pepperoni and sausage pizzas and specialty pizzas such as BBQ chicken, buffalo chicken, chicken bacon ranch and Hawaiian pizzas.

  • T & T Jolly Wows BBQ serves BBQ rib baskets, sandwiches, chicken wings, burgers and fries.

  • You’re Bacon Me Crazy serves burgers, sandwiches, tacos, wings, cheese & bacon fries, ranch & bacon fries.

Is alcohol served?

Prairie Street Brewing Co. and VeeDubs Mobile Cocktail Bar are providing alcohol beverages. Alcohol consumption is limited to the circle drive area, pavilion and terrace.

What are the hours?

4 to 9 p.m. May 2 through Aug. 29 and 4 to 8 p.m. Sept. 5 through Oct. 24.
