Group C belted the soundtracks to their lives on Wednesday’s episode but for two of them, their lives on The Masked Singer would come to an end.

Anteater, Candelabra and Donut fought for one spot in the finale by picking a song that meant something important to them. Candelabra chose to sing “I’m Going Down” by Mary J. Blige and she started off the night by discussing the reasoning for her selection.

“It’s a song about heartbreak, which I definitely experienced,” Candelabra said. “I was in a relationship for a long time with someone I deeply loved. We had a child and built a life together. But he proved to me over and over again that I couldn’t trust him. I tried to stay for our child but, ultimately, staying wasn't good for any of us and I chose to walk away.”

The package also showed a box “from the angels” and a royal flush of hearts.

After Candelabra’s performance, the Men in Black brought out an additional clue: a mixed tape of Party Jams dedicated to judge Nicole Scherzinger.

“Nicole, I’ll never forget the fun we had partying at an industry party,” Candelabra explained.

Nicole, 45, and her fellow Panelists Ken JeongJenny McCarthy and Robin Thicke tossed out Tamar Braxton, Keyshia Cole, Dawn Richard and Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas as possibilities for Candelabra’s identity.

Anteater nosed his way to the stage next. In his clue package, Anteater shared why he picked “Johnny B. Good” by Chuck Berry as his soundtrack to my life song.

“I collected all his 45 RPM singles,” Anteater said, adding that, when his mom signed him up for guitar lessons, “this was one of the first songs I learned to play on my homemade, right-handed guitar — it’s not easy when you’re a lefty.”

A record with a kiss on it and a four-leaf clover appeared in the clue package, too.

“You are a true rock ‘n’ roll legend, I know it,” Jenny, 51, said to Anteater following his performance.

Anteater made a Deep Thoughts mixed tape for Jenny for his extra clue. “I had the greatest conversation when I was talking to Jenny,” Anteater said.

Jackson Browne, Paul Stanley and Steven Van Zandt came up as options for Anteater.

Donut rolled to the stage to close out the solo performances.

The sweet treat selected “Georgia on My Mind” by Ray Charles for their soundtrack of my life song. “It’s about being far away from the one we love,” Donut said in his clue package, which also included a red dragon and a spaceship. “When I was as young man, I actually had the opportunity to sing this song as a duet with Ray on a television special. Performing with Ray was magical.”

Jenny sung Donut’s praises after he wrapped. “We adore you. We love you. Amazing job tonight!” she said.

The Men in Black brought out a Poker Night mixed tape for Donut’s additional clue.

“Robin, this mixed tape was on repeat every time I hung out with your dear, sweet dad,” Donut said.

Robin, 46, didn’t find the clue helpful though, because “my dad knew everybody!” he said.

The judges thought Donut might be Engelbert HumperdinckTom Jones or John Schneider.

Host Nick Cannon asked the studio audience to vote for their favorite performer of the night, and the undercover celebrity who received the fewest votes would unmask immediately, while the remaining two would go head to head in the Battle Royale.

Nick, 43, revealed that Anteater landed in the bottom and would be the one heading home. When Anteater popped off his long-nosed mask, Hall & Oates musician John Oates appeared.

Then country star Hunter Hayesseason 3’s Astronaut — introduced the song Candelabra and Donut would battle it out to, his hit “Wanted.” Candelabra and Donut proceeded to put their own spins on the song — and impressed the 32-year-old Grammy nominee.

“I had to stand out of respect for those two performances,” Hunter said. “Both were so different, so unique, but both had such incredible emotion. Thank you for singing that song. It was an honor to hear it."

The judges voted for Donut to stay and compete in the finale, sending home Candelabra. The multi-armed candle holder turned out to be the judges’ guess of "I Should Have Cheated" singer Keyshia, 45.
