The Rock Gives A Kevin Hart Health Update Following His Hospital Release

A Terrible Accident

Kevin Hart was in a car accident earlier this month that left his spine fractured in three places and required major surgery. While he may have left the hospital, he will still require serious medical care round the clock at home, and at least four months of physical therapy to recover.

He's Got A Friend In The Rock

Hart's close friend Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson left his honeymoon early after the accident, coming home to cover for his friend on The Kelly Clarkson Show and to visit him in his recovery.

His Jumanji costar filled in on the premiere episode of The Kelly Clarkson show and offered up an update on how Hart is recovering.

"Everything is good, I spoke with Kevin, I actually refer to him as my son. I connected with him today, and you know what? These things happen in life. And thankfully, he was strapped in nicely his car seat."

Hoping For A Speedy Recovery

Johnson joked around, but ultimately you could tell how much he cares about Hart.

"Listen, I’m only kidding. We spoke to the pediatrician and he said he's doing very well. He's bummed he couldn't be here, as you know. But look, I love the guy. He's one of my best friends. And honestly, thank God. It could've been a lot worse. So he's a lucky man and I'm so happy [he's OK]. And he knows it too. I wish him the best and a speedy recovery and I'm gonna see him soon."
