Rock bands Lynyrd Skynyrd and ZZ Top to rock out at Thompson-Boling Arena in 2024

Sweet Home ... Tennessee? Celebrate 50 years of Lynyrd Skynyrd and ZZ Top when the legendary rock bands are coming to Knoxville in March.

ZZ Top and Lynyrd Skynyrd co-headline the “Sharp Dressed Simple Man” tour, which kicked off earlier this year. They’ll be playing Thompson-Boling Arena at Food City Center March 15, 2024. Tickets go on sale Nov. 3. All tickets will be sold online via Ticketmaster.

Presale and VIP packages are available Oct. 31.

Lynyrd Skynyrd popularized the Southern rock genre with songs such as “Sweet Home Alabama,” “Free Bird” and “Simple Man." The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2006.

Known for rock and blues hits such as “Tush," "Gimme All Your Lovin'" and “Sharp Dressed Man,” ZZ Top has reportedly sold over 50 million albums worldwide and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004.

Rock band Black Stone Cherry is the special guest for the Knoxville “Sharp Dressed Simple Man” show.
