Robyn and Royksopp float through space in 'Monument' video

Forget yoga retreats in the mountains—judging from Robyn and Röyksopp’s video for “Monument,” space is the place to go for all your meditating needs.

Robyn and the members of Norwegian duo Röyksopp float on a white circle through space, occasionally getting up to dance in slow motion and stare at each other in wonder. The dazed video reflects the dreaminess of “Monument,” a track more ethereal than the dance-pop Robyn’s known for.

Before the video’s concept was born, Robyn told The Creators Project about discussing it with director Max Vitali: “We had all these conversations about what this place could look like, how do you explain these emotions, how do you communicate these things in a way that feels sincere.” Their chats gave birth to a video that’s “influenced by the iconic imagery in ’70s sci-fi comics that we grew up with,” Röyksopp’s Svein Berge said.

Berge and Torbjørn Brundtland, the other half of Röyksopp, released a collaboration album with Robyn earlier this year titled Do It Again. The artists are currently touring together.
