Robin Wright has high praise for her Damsel co-star Millie Bobby Brown.

While appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday, the host asked what it was like to work alongside Brown and Angela Bassett in the Netflix movie, to which Wright responded, “They were both amazing.” She added, “That Millie is a little powerhouse.” Fallon agreed, saying, “Yeah, she’s good. She’s very cool.”

Damsel flips the fantasy genre on its head, with Brown starring as Princess Elodie, who sets out to free herself and get revenge after finding out that the family of the prince she married intends to sacrifice her to a dragon in order to repay an ancient debt.

Wright plays Elodie’s evil mother-in-law, Queen Isabelle. While the actress is no stranger to fantasy movies, with one of her most iconic roles being Princess Buttercup in The Princess Bride, this marks the first time she’s played the villain in the genre.

“Is it fun playing the villain?” the late night host asked, to which Wright admitted, “Yes, it is.”

“I feel like it would be rewarding, right?” Fallon noted.

“It really is, because you just get to go, ‘Ohhh,'” she responded while rubbing her hands sinisterly.

Wright has enjoyed a decades-long career as an actress. Now, she’s expanding her work behind the camera, directing an upcoming series for Prime Video titled The Girlfriend.

Fallon wanted to know if she found it easier to direct as an actor, pointing out that she would have the advantage of knowing “what to do and where to stand and where to look.” The Forrest Gump star explained, “Yeah, but every actor is different. You have to read the room, you know? Some actors like line readings, and other times they’ll slap you in the face and say, ‘Don’t ever do that again.'”

“But you love it, though,” noted the host.

Wright gushed, “I love it. I love seeing what [actors] can do. You know, how it comes to life when you just tell a little story and all of a sudden, you’re like, ‘Whoa, that’s amazing! Those thespians …'”
