With the clock ticking on season 11, semifinalists Clock, Goldfish and Gumball made their last bids for a spot in the Masked Singer finale.

They opened the show on Wednesday, May 15, with a group performance of “Higher Love” by Kygo and Whitney Houston. Host Nick Cannon announced that Clock, Goldfish and Gumball would return together at the end of show for a three-way Battle Royale. He also shared that judges Ken JeongJenny McCarthyRita Ora and Robin Thicke could use the Amazon Prime delivery package button on the panel desk again to get an extra clue for one contestant.

Gumball dispensed himself to the stage first.

“Becoming Gumball has allowed me to tap into my roots and do something I have loved from the start: singing,” Gumball said in his clue package. “Music was my first love, but when I moved to Hollywood, I had to give that part of me up to be taken seriously.”

Gumball made a reference to a “quarterback” and said he went on The Masked Singer because, “I want my kids to see that their dad never said no to an adventure.”

Gumball tackled “I Lived” by OneRepublic.

“I just thought it was your best performance yet,” Thicke, 47, said.

Every contestant also received a super clue after their performance, and Gumball’s came in the form of a cheerleader who led the crowd in chanting his name.

“Hearing those cheers reminds me of a brawl that changed this Gumball’s life forever,” Gumball explained.

Taylor Kitsch, James Van Der Beek and Jason Sudeikis arose as options for Gumball’s identity.

Then, it came time for Clock to take the stage.

“I’m not as young as I used to be,” Clock admitted in her clue package. She added that she wanted to compete on The Masked Singer to “introduce myself to a whole new generation.”

Clock belted “Dancing in the Street” by Martha and the Vandellas.

“You are putting yourself right at the top,” Thicke said.

The Men in Black brought out gold bars for Clock’s super clue. “This isn’t the first stage show that I have done, and every performance has been solid gold, baby,” Clock explained.

The judges thought Clock could be Roberta Flack, Thelma Houston or Stephanie Mills. McCarthy, 51, hit the button for a Prime delivery clue and received a pair of roller skates, which made her feel certain about Clock being 87-year-old Flack.

Goldfish floated up next.

“Fame was never my goal,” Goldfish said in her clue package. “I honestly thought I was going to be a pediatrician. But I loved to perform. I just didn’t realize that, in order to do what I love, I would have to live in a fishbowl, and it made me retreat and be a lot more private. Becoming the Goldfish has unleashed a really fun, silly side of myself that, honestly, only a few people in my life actually get to see and it’s been so much fun letting loose.”

“It’s a real blast from the past because me and the Mouse, we go way, way back,” Goldfish said.

The panel suspected Goldfish might be Hilary DuffSelena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Tisdale.
