Robin Thicke's son is celebrating another year around the sun!

Over the weekend, the musician, 47, shared a carousel of photos to his Instagram as he honored his son Julian on his 14th birthday. The proud dad included shots of his son from throughout the years, including one of the father-son duo posing with Megan Thee Stallion.

"Happy happy birthday to my 14-year-old son Julian Fuego Thicke! The best big brother, student, chef, singer, actor, writer, speech maker!" Thicke wrote in his caption.

"I’m so lucky to be your dad and I thank God every day for you. Love you son. ❤️."

Thicke shares his son with ex-wife Paula Patton. He is also dad to daughters Mia Love, 6, and Lola Alain, 4, as well as son Luca Patrick, 2, whom he shares with wife April Love Geary

In February, the "Blurred Lines" singer performed at Bilt Rewards' casino night at the NMHC annual meeting in San Diego. Ahead of his set, Thicke chatted with PEOPLE about Julian, who had seemed to inherit his dad's performance genes.

"My son Julian has been following in Dad’s footsteps. He’s an amazing singer and an amazing performer," said the musician.

"I would love for him to follow in my footsteps but I’d rather he follow Barack Obama’s footsteps and become president or something like that," he added. "But he’s wonderful just the way he is."

While appearing on The Jennifer Hudson Show last year, the dad of four said that Julian “got the gift” when it comes to music.

Sharing that Julian "started singing from a very young age," Thicke added, "I would give him whatever little pointers I could."

"He's a natural singer and he just got a lead part in the middle school play," Thicke said at the time, noting that Julian was set to play Charlie in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

The “Close to You” singer also said that his son had started “playing a little guitar” at the time and that he wanted him to “write his own songs.”

"It's really his journey and his life," he continued. "I more encourage him to be himself and love himself."
