Robin Roberts Shares Look at Tropical Second Honeymoon: ‘We’re Happy That It Happened’

Roberts and her wife, Amber Laign, had their first honeymoon about a week after their wedding in Curaçao

Robin Roberts is sharing a glimpse at her second honeymoon.

The Good Morning America host, 63, revealed that she was on her way home after spending a second honeymoon with wife Amber Laign over the past week in a tropical location she did not disclose.

She shared a photo on Instagram of the pair side by side relaxing in the water and looking out at the view in front of them of blue skies and lush green trees. Roberts could be seen sporting a blue diving suit while her partner wore a black bathing suit with a white cap.

“Honeymoon #2…not sad that it’s over, we’re happy that it happened. See you in the morn on @goodmorningamerica,” she captioned the post. “Good Lord willing and the creek don’t rise. 🙏🏾💕”

Earlier this week, she revealed that the pair were not only soaking in the hot weather, but also drinking some cocktails to cool off. She shared a photo of an Aperol spritz and a spicy margarita side by side in front of a view overlooking a beach.

“Sooooo, who do you think ordered the Aperol Spritz and who opted for the Spicy Margarita?,” she asked her almost 1 million Instagram followers, adding in the hashtag “oppositesattract.” She later revealed that she was the one who ordered the margarita.

She also shared a short video of a monkey moving around  between tree branches in the distance using its tail before jumping to another tree and disappearing into a forest. “It’s a jungle out there! The adventure continues with honeymoon #2,” she wrote alongside the video.

Roberts and Laign revealed they obtained a marriage license on Sept. 7 by sharing a video on Instagram documenting their visit to the Farmington County Clerk's Office in Connecticut. A day later, they tied the knot  announcing the news in a post on an Instagram account belonging to their dog, Lil Man Lukas.

Alongside a photo of the pooch looking dapper in a bow-tie on a bench, the caption read, "My mommies are MARRIED!!!! Married?……yes….married!!!"

The pair then jetted off to their first honeymoon in Curaçao a week later, with Roberts sharing a video of the newlyweds dipping their feet in the sand at the beach before panning up to show her followers the blue crystal waters.

“Following our wonderful wedding celebration full of dancing galore…felt so good to wiggle our toes in the sand during our magical honeymoon in beautiful Curaçao!,” Roberts wrote alongside the video.

“Will be thinking of this view when I’m back on @goodmorningamerica Monday morning. Will also be thinking of all the well wishes. Thank you & bless you. #sundayserenity 🙏🏾❤️,” she added.
