Roberto Bautista Agut clearly didn’t expect to be in London this long.

Bautista Agut spoke to reporters Wednesday at the All England Club about his upcoming Wimbledon semifinal match against No. 1 Novak Djokovic while his friends got an early start on the bachelor party in his honor.

Yes, he planned his bachelor party for the final days of Wimbledon.

Bautista Agut had never advanced past the fourth round at Wimbledon and planned the party for the end of the second week. The semifinals will be played Friday and the final Sunday.

“I had planned to be in Ibiza right now. We had everything organized already and my friends, six of them, are all there.

“It feels better to be here in London.”

He entered Wednesday’s match as the only player of eight remaining to have not dropped a set, though he did so against Guido Pella in the third, and defeated No. 10 seed Karen Khachanov of Russia in the third round. The Spaniard reached the quarterfinal at the Australian Open, his best finish, and has never won a Grand Slam. Awaiting him in a final is either Roger Federer or Rafael Nadal if he gets past Djokovic.

He’s also not the only player to have a Wimbledon planning snafu. Dominika Cibulkova almost called off her wedding in 2016 when she made a deep run at the All England Club. She lost in the ladies singles semifinal and didn’t have to face the decision.

Bautista Agut, 31, and his fiancé, Ana Bodi Tortosa, are set to marry in November, per ATP Tour. There’s still plenty of time for a proper bachelor party, though August 26 through Sept. 8 is also a bad time.

In the meantime the semifinalist said he thinks his friends will fly to London on Friday to watch the match.
