A Fox News host has suggested the FBI and Department of Justice should undergo a “cleansing” that would see Special Counsel Robert Mueller and a number of other staff “locked up.”
Jeanine Pirro commented on Saturday night that there was corruption in the departments that necessitated investigation – blaming Mueller, former FBI director James Comey and other figures for what she described as “the stench coming out of the Justice Department and the FBI.”
“There is a cleansing needed in our FBI and our Department of Justice,” she said on Sunday in the opening statement of her show. “It needs to be cleansed of individuals who should not just be fired but who need to be taken out in handcuffs.”
“There have been times in our history when corruptions and lawlessness were so pervasive that examples had to be made – this is one of those times.,” she added.
Pirro was not shy about suggesting a number of people should be imprisoned, stating: “I for one am tired of investigations, politicians posturing. Something more has to be done. The stench coming out of the DOJ and FBI is like that of a third world country where money and boys and clubs decide elections.
“Its time to take them out – in cuffs,” she added.
The Fox News host also suggested there should be “handcuffs for Andrew McCabe, deputy director of the FBI,” as well as citing Peter Strzok and a number of others whom she suggested had helped Hillary Clinton to avoid charges over the investigation into her use of a private email server during her time as secretary of state.

Pirro, a longtime supporter and sometime confidante of the president, previously told Trump he should appoint a special counsel to investigate Hillary Clinton during a private meeting in the Oval Office.
At a November 1 meeting between Trump and Pirro, the TV host also hit out at Attorney General Jeff Sessions for failing to investigate the former secretary of state, including her role in the Uranium One deal, The New York Times reported at the time.
Pirro said in a statement to the Times that she had made comments about Sessions' DOJ publicly on previous occasions.
“Everything I said to President Trump is exactly what I’ve vocalized on my show, Justice With Jeanine," Pirro told the paper.
