Robert Klein documentary premiering on Starz

Robert Klein is getting the Starz treatment.

Marshall Fine’s documentary about the comedy legend, Robert Klein Still Can’t Stop His Leg, has been picked up by Starz, nearly a year after making its world premiere at the SXSW Film Festival in Austin, Texas.

Executive-produced by Harvey Weinstein, Bob Weinstein, and David Glasser, the doc will premiere on Starz and Starz On Demand Friday, March 31 at 10 p.m. ET. Network subscribers will also be able to stream and download the title through the Starz app on that date.

Robert Klein Still Can’t Stop His Leg features appearances by Billy Crystal, Bill Maher, Jerry Seinfeld, Jon Stewart, Jay Leno, Don Rickles, and Ray Romano, among others, in profiling Klein and his continuing and lasting impact on comedy.

“I’m a film critic and I’ve been going to film festivals for 30-plus years and I can’t tell you how many times I walked out of movies going, I can make a better movie than that,’ and so I said maybe I’ll try,” Fine said during a Q&A at SXSW in 2016. He added, “I’ve known Robert for 15 years and that whole time I always felt that this is the film that should be made because he’s a giant in the industry.”
