Over the years, Australian conservationist and TV personality Robert Irwin has won over hearts worldwide for his positive attitude and his kindness toward animals. But more recently, many have appreciated his sense of humor.

Irwin, 19, took to Instagram with a spoof of Instagram videos, such as those made by @calebwsimpson, that ask locals how much they pay for rent, before getting an apartment tour. But Irwin’s followers didn’t get the home tour they were expecting.

In response to “How much do you pay for rent in the Outback?” Irwin takes viewers to an abandoned home.

After opening a completely broken gate, he warns the camera person as they come to a staircase missing most of the steps.

“Just watch the steps, I just got them put in,” he says, before breaking two different stairs, and almost completely wiping out.

After Irwin finally makes it to a sturdy stair, the video cuts to him lying in a dirty cot.

“This is where I relax and retire after a long day,” he tells the camera, before bringing viewers to the “al fresco area.”

“So nice when you don't have to worry about silly things like windows,” he says, surrounded by a room lined with empty window frames from floor to ceiling.

“That airflow!” he exclaims.

Irwin then goes to the kitchen, in which he opens up the “blinds,” which are falling apart, before taking a broken broom off the ground, and “sweeping” a tiny bit of dirt from the dust-covered floor.

“Sorry, I haven’t swept in here yet,” Irwin adds, before attempting to open the door of some sort of appliance, which almost topples over. He then takes a cast iron pan off the wall, which has a giant dead spider on it.

“Do you want something? Do you want something to eat?” Irwin asks the camera man, who politely declines. “Are you sure?” he asks.

He shows his favorite spot to “entertain,” in which the wall is covered in giant spiders. He exits and basks in a rusted metal bathtub outside, pretends to drink a beer out of an empty bottle, and offers the cameraman tea, pointing to a tea kettle hanging from a tree.

Then, finally, Irwin brings viewers to the bathroom, which is basically an outhouse without a door or ceiling.

To finish it all off, Irwin sits on the toilet, and jokes, "It's just a nice place sometimes just to sit and just enjoy the surroundings," before the video ends.

"DM for AirBnb rates… Kidding* 😂," he wrote in the comments of the video.

Irwin's sister, Bindi, replied in the comments, "This is my favourite 😂 So. Funny.
@lukereavley “Ehhhh… I’m good…," referring to the cameraman's reaction to Robert offering to make him food in the kitchen.

But Robert Irwin's social media presence isn't all jokes. Earlier this month, he made an incredibly heartfelt tribute to his late father, Steve Irwin, in a TikTok video, after a rare turtle Steve had discovered decades ago hatched at the Australia Zoo.

"This is one of the highlights of my entire life and one of the most special moments ever for Australia Zoo. This is the very first Elseya irwini, or Irwin's turtle, ever hatched for any zoological facility anywhere in the world," Robert explained.

The video shows an old photo of his dad showing off the Irwin's turtle, which he discovered.

"This species is a turtle that dad originally discovered out in the wild, and for the first time we've got a little baby," Robert said, before letting the baby turtle swim for the first time on his own.

"It's just so surreal," Robert added. "And all those stories from Dad about just how amazing and beautiful they are… I don't get emotional that much, but I just know Dad would be really proud, Dad would be stoked."
