Rob Marciano on 'Good Morning America'

Rob Marciano is out at ABC News.

The former ABC News and Good Morning America meteorologist is no longer with the company, a source tells PEOPLE.

Before his official departure, the broadcaster had been temporarily banned from the show's studio in New York City reportedly due to allegedly inappropriate behaviors, but he continued to report the weather from outside locations, per Page Six.

PEOPLE has reached out to Marciano for comment. A rep for ABC News had no comment when reached by PEOPLE.

Marciano became ABC News' senior meteorologist in July 2014 and has since continued his work reporting the weather on Good Morning America. He made his official debut on the morning show in September of the same year.

The news of his firing comes two years after his ex-wife Eryn Marciano filed for divorce after 11 years of marriage.

At the time, the weather reporter told PEOPLE that the couple had been going through rough times in a statement shared shortly after the filing went public.

"The last couple of years have been very difficult," he wrote at the time. "I didn't want this and tried to save the marriage, but we are sadly divorcing. My focus now is on my kids."

The pair tied the knot in November 2010, and they share daughter Madelynn and son Mason. Amid their ongoing divorce proceedings, the former couple treated their kids to a spring break trip to Disney World in Orlando, Florida, where he shared family photos and video from the April vacation.
