Rob Lowe Spoofs Undecided Voters on ‘Late Show’ After Debate

Rob Lowe joined a special, live airing of The Late Show With Stephen Colbert after the debate Monday night, playing a fictional undecided voter named Charles Henson, who appeared to be waffling on whether or not it was good to be on the talk show. Since many experts think undecided voters may have a huge impact on the outcome of the presidential election, Colbert wanted to talk to one himself … or at least a fake one.

Henson showed up wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat in support of Donald Trump and an “I’m With Her” shirt in support of Hillary Clinton. When asked if the debate helped him decide who would get his vote, Henson said that it did and that he’s 100 percent behind Trump.

“I really liked when he said he wanted to bring back law and order. I love Mariska Hargitay,” he said.

But Henson changed his tune when Colbert asked how he felt about Clinton and whether he was swayed when she said she wasn’t just prepared for the debate but prepared to be president. Henson then said he was going to vote for Clinton based on that.

He switched his vote twice more before ending up still undecided. He said he’d told himself when he woke up in the morning that he’d decide, but that didn’t go too well for him.

“The next thing I know, I’m naked in a rock quarry scrawling the words ‘email servers’ and ‘tax returns’ in the dust with my tears,” said Henson.

Colbert ended up asking him point-blank which candidate he would vote for — Clinton or Trump? Henson failed to answer and just gazed at the ceiling with a whimsical smile.

When Colbert finally got his attention, Henson answered: “Oh. I’m sorry. I was imagining a gun to my head.”
