Rob Gronkowski proves he's not human with one-handed touchdown catch for the ages

This 2017 season has been a stellar – if not drama-free – year for Rob Gronkowski, but the New England Patriots superstar tight end proved Sunday that he’s far from done. Gronk added to his laundry list of eye-popping highlights with a sensational one-handed touchdown catch versus Buffalo in Week 16.

With Bills strong safety Aaron Williams in excellent position, Tom Brady threw a back-shoulder ball toward the pylon. Gronkowski proceeded to make the one-handed play for a 17-yard score that even by his standards was special.

The 28-year-old four-time All-Pro is the league’s likely Comeback Player of the Year after enduring season-ending back surgery following a Week 12 injury in 2016. He entered this week leading all tight ends in both receiving (1,117 yards) and yards per catch (15.9), while ranking fourth alongside Kansas City’s “Gronk-lite” Travis Kelce with seven touchdowns. Should Gronkowski win the award, it would be his second such honor, after winning 2014 as well.
