Rob Golenberg Joins Silver Lining Entertainment As Partner

Veteran TV packaging agent-turned-manager/producer Rob Golenberg has joined his brother Jeff Golenberg and his partners Sam Maydew and Jason Shapiro at Silver Lining Entertainment. Golenberg will be a partner at the management/production company, with a focus on building out a lit department and ramping up the company’s content production division.

Rob Golenberg brings with him over a dozen TV lit management clients, including Charlie Craig (Pretty Little Liars: Perfectionists), Alison Tatlock (Stranger Things, Better Call Saul), Scott Williams (NCIS), Sonay Hoffman (American Crime Story, Suits Spinoff), John Beck & Ron Hart (Disjointed, Fuller House), and Jon Emerson & Annie Levine (Central Park).

Rob Golenberg, previously a packaging agent at William Morris, Gersh and Paradigm, left the agency business in 2011 after 20 years and, after a brief stint at Evolution, launched a production company, Scripted World, with Alon Aranya. They sold over two dozen network and cable projects, three of which went to series (Betrayal at ABC, Hostages at CBS and Red Widow at ABC). Golenberg is an executive producer on the upcoming Showtime drama series Your Honor, which is in pre-production, with Peter Moffatt and Robert & Michelle King, as well as several other projects set up at Apple, Fox, Showtime and CBS.

This marks the first time the Golenberg brothers have worked together though they have shared clients in the past, when Rob was at WMA and Jeff was at 3 Arts.

Silver Lining Entertainment was established five years ago by Maydew and Jeff Golenberg after splitting from The Collective where they were the founding partners alongside Michael Green.

Longtime Silver Lining clients include Evangeline Lilly, Vincent D’Onofrio, Katherine Waterston, Jason Isaacs, Retta, Michael Kenneth Williams, Jai Courtney, Hong Chau, Wilmer Valderama, Cat Deeley, Sonoya Mizuno, Derek Hough, Ramon Rodriguez, Mike Colter, Rosie Perez, Chi McBride, among others.

On the production side, Maydew produced client D’Onofrio’s feature film directing debut, The Kid, starring Ethan Hawke, Chris Pratt and Dane Dehaan, which will be released by Lionsgate next year. Maydew, alongside client Eliza Dushku, produced the feature Mapplethorpe starring Matt Smith, which premiered at this year’s Tribeca Film Festival and is set to be released by Samuel Goldwyn next year. Other feature producing efforts include Take The Ten for Netflix and the Netflix documentary Be Here Now. On the TV side, they produced the FX series, Partners starring Kelsey Grammer and Martin Lawrence, the HBO comedy special Ghetto Klown, the CBS pilot Taxi 22 and the ABC pilot King John.
