Rita Ora and Taika Waititi are a happily married couple!

The "Let You Love Me" singer and Thor: Love and Thunder director first sparked romance rumors in April 2021 before making their red carpet debut roughly five months later.

In August 2022, a source confirmed to PEOPLE that Ora and Waititi wed during a "very small" ceremony. However, the couple didn't share the news publicly until January 2023.

"I am officially off the market, people!" Ora said during an interview with Heart Breakfast.

Before Ora, Waititi split from his wife Chelsea Winstanley in 2018 after being married for seven years. The former couple shares two children together. As for the songstress, she dated filmmaker Romain Gavras prior to Waititi — but that relationship only lasted six months.

While the exact origin of Ora and Waititi's romance is unknown, the singer shared an Instagram post on Valentine's Day 2022, revealing that they met four years prior in 2018.

"Us. 4 years ago. To now," she captioned a throwback snap of them before sharing a gallery of images of them together now. "thanks for being cool. And entertaining me forevs..Happy Valentine's Day bestie ❤️"

April 21, 2021: Rita Ora and Taika Waititi spark dating rumors

Ora and Waititi sparked romance rumors after the "You For Me" singer included a photo of her and Waititi hugging on her Instagram, paired with a flirty caption.

May 24, 2021: Rita Ora, Taika Waititi, and Tessa Thompson are spotted kissing

A month after Ora and Waititi sparked dating rumors, the two were photographed cuddled up with Thor: Love and Thunder actress Tessa Thompson outside of Waititi's home in Sydney, engaging in PDA as they sat in front of a small table of drinks.

In an interview with the Sydney Morning Herald, Waititi responded to the viral photos, saying, "I was doing nothing wrong."

When asked if the rumors upset him, the director responded, "Not really. I think in the world of the internet, everything goes away pretty quick. And also, 'is it that big a deal?' No, not really. I was doing nothing wrong. It's fine."

Ora and Waititi made their red carpet debut as a couple at The Suicide Squad premiere in Los Angeles, solidifying the couple's relationship after sparking dating rumors that April. The duo posed arm-in-arm as they made their way on the red carpet.

The couple attended a Rolling Stones concert in Los Angeles in October 2021, where they were seen wearing matching red leather jackets while standing in line outside of the venue.

Feb. 14, 2022: Taika Waititi posts a Valentine's Day tribute to Rita Ora

For Valentine's Day in 2022, Waititi shared a sweet photo roundup of Ora on Instagram. While the series of snaps showcased the singer looking fabulous, the jokester couldn't help but add in a few silly pics too.

Waititi, who donned a mauve suit paired with a metallic bowtie, was captured fixing her dress and coat train on the carpet to assure the photos would come out picture-perfect.

June 13, 2022: Taika Waititi avoids interview questions about Rita Ora

In June, Waititi sat down alongside Lightyear costar Chris Evans for an interview with This Morning ahead of the film's premiere. After chatting about the project, the interviewers steered the conversation from professional to personal when they asked Waititi about Ora, following the couple's recent engagement rumors.

The director pretended there was poor connection during the virtual interview, after cohost Phillip Schofield asked, "Are there wedding bells coming?" His hosting half, Holly Willoughby, chimed in to say, "I think he can't hear us," when Schofield questioned, "Should I not ask about Rita?"

Aug. 8, 2022: Taika Waititi and Rita Ora spark marriage rumors

The couple sparked marriage rumors after they were photographed with what appear to be matching gold wedding bands on their fingers in recent social media shots, captured by the Daily Mail. Shortly after, E! News reported that the two had recently tied the knot.

Aug. 12, 2022: Taika Waititi and Rita Ora's marriage is confirmed

A few days after sparking wedding rumors, a source confirmed to PEOPLE that Waititi and Ora are officially married. The two tied the knot in a "very small" ceremony. In recent social media snapshots, Waititi was shown wearing what appeared to be a wedding ring.

September 20, 2022: Rita Ora says her relationship with Taika Waititi is like a "fairytale"

Ora was a guest on the Greatest Night Ever podcast, hosted by her longtime friend Jaime Winstone. The singer gushed about her romance with Waititi, whom she described as a "lovely" person.

"I've always wanted the fairytale, that's what I grew up loving," Ora said. "For me, it was always about that love, finding a partner, so I'm really happy I did."

November 13, 2022: Rita Ora and Taika Waititi co-host the 2022 MTV Europe Music Awards

The newlyweds made their co-hosting debut at the MTV EMAs in Düsseldorf, Germany. Ora, who wowed on the red carpet in a vintage Elie Saab jumpsuit, walked away from the evening with the Best Look "Personal Style" Award.

January 27, 2023: Rita Ora confirms she and Taika Waititi got married

Ora confirmed that she and Waititi tied the knot during an interview with Heart Radio Breakfast.

"Yes. Here we are," the pop star said when asked if she was married. "They say everything happens for a reason. I am officially off the market, people!"

February 1, 2023: Rita Ora shows off her wedding ring

While appearing on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon, Ora showed off her giant emerald wedding ring.

"I haven't actually shown anyone my ring. It's my first time showing my ring, and because I love you and I feel like you're a part of our relationship, weirdly, because we watch you every night ... look here it is," she said to Fallon.

The "For You" singer then revealed that she "may have" helped Waititi pick out the ring.

"I felt like I really knew I wanted to be with this person, and I just wanted it to feel really right," Ora said. "So, I may have taken him to the shop and pointed out exactly what ring I wanted."

February 6, 2023: Rita Ora says Taika Waititi made the first move after being friends for six years

During an appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show, Ora recalled the moment she knew Waititi wanted to be more than friends. At the time, the couple were both working in Australia and had casually started spending time together.

"I mean, honestly, he put his hand on my back and then…low back. And that's when I knew, this is a different type of stroke, you know?" Ora told Barrymore. "And I was in."
